Eddie Foy (b1856-d1923)was born to irish immigrants and grew up in NewYork and Chicago. He followed his childhood dream and became one of America's top comedy singer-dancers/actor of the 1900 century. In 1913 he came up with a new twist for his act...he decided to put his kids in the show. He had eight lving children (one born to his first wife and eleven born to his third wife...of which seven lived.) It was his seven kids that he had with his third wife, Madeline, that made up the Seven Little Foys. (These were: Bryan (1896-1977) who became a producer at Warner Bros; Charley (1898-1984), an actor; Mary (1901-1987); Madeline (1903-1988), an actress; Eddie Jr. (1905-1983) who carved out a successful career as an actor and entertainer on stage and screen, ; Richard (1905-1947) and Irving (1908-2003)a writer.) From 1913-1918 they traveld together as Eddie Foy and the Seven Little Foys. In 1918 his wife fell ill and died. It was then that the eldest son left the show but would contribute music and ideas for the new Eddie Foy and the Younger Foys. After Eddie's remarriage to his forth wife and subsequently his death four of his kids continued on as The Younger Foys.

In 2009 the Kent Family while on tour visited the graves of the Foys in new Rochelle, NY.
